The color guard rehearses as a part of the marching band in the 1st semester. We attend all marching band summer camps (usually one week in June and three weeks in July), sectionals and after school rehearsals (after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:15pm – 5:30pm), colorguard class for fall and spring semester (enrollment required), Home football games, and contests (usually 4-6 depending on the year). We compete in the ISSMA marching band circuit locally as well as BOA (Bands of America) Regionals and Championships nationally. During the 2nd semester, we take the fall colorguard and form an indoor group called winterguard. This usually consists of two teams, a varsity and junior varsity. They compete in the IHSCGA circuit locally, as well as WGI (Winter Guard International) nationally.
